Andrew Knight was born in Denver, CO. His family moved to New Canaan, CT not too long after where he grew up and went to school. He attended New Canaan High School and was on the honor roll for his academic career. He was also a member of the varsity baseball team.
While in school, Andrew did quite a bit of volunteer work. He ran the club, Fill in the Blanks, after school with fellow classmates. Two women started the organization in New Canaan to help provide food for families on the free and reduced lunch program during the weekends and school holidays. Andrew helped the club to fundraise through bake sales, tag sales, and other events to raise money. He also collected donations from local stores and groups who were willing to donate to the club.
On top of running the club, he volunteered with the local youth of his community during baseball season, coaching the youth league team. It brought his love of baseball together with his love of helping kids, giving him a great opportunity to give back.
After his graduation from high school, he now attends Skidmore University in Saratoga Springs, NY. He is currently a student studying business and finance, and minoring in Italian. He plays catcher on the university’s baseball team while also keeping up with his academic schoolwork.
He hopes to graduate and get a degree in finance. He would ideally like to work in NYC after graduation, but is willing to see where the rest of his academic career takes him.
